The Phantom Reaper - Short Film

I’ve always been a bit obsessed with the aesthetic of the 1980’s, the cars, the retro TV’s, the neon glows. So I decided to make an animation which incorporated all of these elements. This short film follows the main character, The Phantom Reaper, who drives around at night looking for victims to claim, although he’s not so good at it!

I created this piece using Maxon’s Cinema4D for the 3D elements, I rendered this in Redshift Renderer, TurbulenceFD for the smoke simulations, Adobe After Effects for the comping and video fx and Adobe Premiere for the edit.
